Make the Right Choice

To drink or not to drink? This question is always raised among teenagers when there are holidays, parties, and various activities that involve entertainment. Of course, everyone wants to celebrate and have fun. Undoubtedly, the most important consideration is your safety. The second point is to think about your behaviour to avoid going viral on YouTube.

We all know perfectly well what the consequences can be after such parties. Visit Have Fun & Stay Safe to find more information about safety at parties.  Let's take a closer look at the statistics, which clearly show the serious consequences of a bad choice.

An estimated 5,785 Australians aged 15 years and over died from alcohol-attributable disease and injury in 2015.

Australians aged 15-24 account for approximately half of the alcohol-related serious road injuries and a third of hospitalisations for injuries caused by violence.

1 in 5 Australians over 14 drink at levels that put them at risk of alcohol-related harm over their lifetime.

Alcohol contributes to the three major causes of teen death: injury, homicide, and suicide.

17% of 15-18-year-olds say they had sex when drunk which they later regretted.

1 in 5 Australians aged 14 and over reported being a victim of an alcohol-related incident in 2016.

Teenage males are three and a half times more likely than females to die from alcohol-attributable injury.
